I thought it would be interesting to create a web page about something that has an effect on and happens to everyone of us ..."Aging!" This page is mostly about
"The Wonder Years"
. . . When we wonder how we got this old and why we
didn't save for a facelift!
They say the best way to grow old is not to be in a hurry about it ... and Lord knows, I've put it off for as long as I could! But growing older is something that happens without any effort on our part. Unfortunately, I've reached the age that I'm old enough to see how "little" I have done in so much time, and how "much" I have to do in so little time.
There comes a time in all our lives that we will eventually have to deal with the problem of
aging. It's somewhat easier to deal with than weight though, because there's not really much we can do about our age. One of the best ways I know to deal with and accept the marching of our age clock is with humor and a positive attitude.
Attitude is the mind's paintbrush. It can color any situation. Remember, we don't stop laughing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop laughing! We should always try to look on the bright side of everything, even aging! Even our wrinkles have a bright side . . . at least they don't HURT!!! It's also reassuring to know that "God only made wrinkles to show where our smiles have been!"
So what if the aging process happens ... it eventually hits everyone! One good thing about aging is that it isn't our fault
!!! How wonderful to know that this situation isn't caused by something we did or neglected to do. It also helps to remember that we may be OLDER today than we've ever been before, but we are YOUNGER than we'll ever be again!

These are a few poems and other things I've collected over the years that I would like to share with you about aging. I hope some of them may bring a few smiles to you.
Some of the authors are unknown but if you know the correct source of items listed, I will appreciate hearing from you so corrections can be made and proper credit given.
Thank you for visiting "Reflections On Aging."
In parting, I have one last thing to say about "Age" . . .
The luscious plum forgot to . . .
and it became a wrinkled prune!
